But no trip to Thailand would be complete without a visit to Bangkok. Here you can see the mix of traditional Thai and Buddhist culture with modern shopping or nightlife as cultured or as thrilling as you choose. If it’s downright hedonism in Thailand holidays you’re after, look no further than Patong, once known as the sleazy red light district of Phuket. It’s undergone a transformation in recent years.
The area’s once notorious nightlife has been toned down considerably, but you can still find some girlie action if that’s what you want! Go-Go bars aren’t the raunchy circuses they used to be, but there’s still plenty on display.The law now says there is no actual nudity allowed, but these rules are often bent if not just completely ignored.
