Making The Transition From Adolescence To Adulthood

I never at any point during my adolescence years imagine myself being told to find my own way through life. Luckily enough that never happened because I made the choice myself. But the principles are more or less the same and the stages are as defined as they were thousands of years ago. When one makes the change from adolescence to maturity there are a few rules that must always be respected.

Te importance of realizing your self worth can never be appreciated enough. You see, when you start living alone you won’t really have parents leaning over your shoulder and telling you all sorts of good things about you. The world out there is primarily harsh and leaves very little room for such adornment of characteristics.

As you slowly appreciate what you are worth you immediately start to develop the abilities and talents you highlighted and with the passage of time you will begin to shape into a unique individual. But this alone is not enough if you don’t practice discipline and responsibility. Do a few things of importance over those of luxury and spontaneity to give yourself leverage over you conditioned reflexes.

The further growth and transformation of these attributes brings about the creation of discipline. Not having enough discipline can eventually lead to failure at a stage where such failure can tear you apart. Make time for what is important and never sacrifice the basics of life for something that doesn’t provide you with health and nourishment, like buying a case of beer instead of the left handed electric guitar you need for your music career.

In addition to this your unique individuality automatically germinates and you instantly begin to know who you are and what you like. The natural thing with human nature is the natural pairing up of people with similar characteristics and interest. Friends will be an important asset from this time on. Getting the right friends is all about being who you are and attracting similar minded people.

I mention this because having good friends is a pivotal part of maturity. For the most part these are the friends that we eventually grow old with as if they were an eternity ring. Loneliness somehow brings about stagnation and lack of progress. Shared memories are worth the mention a few years down the line and by this time you’ll probably be ready to start your own family.

It is very few adults who have the nice and gorgeous bedding collections for their bedroom. The rest would rather spend their hard earned money on alcohol and the fast party life. But when you are growing up you need the right balance so as to get the best out of life. Be sure to eat healthy food and never to starve yourself. Loving yourself and respecting the needs of your body will give you a god balance in life.
